It’s not just about staying in some beautiful, luxurious hotel but the joy of heading down crisp white slopes and feeling the rush of adrenaline (and icy wind, most likely) beating against you. It’s a rush like no other, and you could be doing it in one of the most beautiful places in the world rather than some ski slope back home.
Of course, if you’re not much of a skier and neither is anybody else in your family, you don’t have to dismiss this holiday idea. There is always the option to take it easy and admire the beautiful slopes of Meribel from the warmth of the indoors if you’d prefer to enjoy your Christmas holiday that way. At the end of the day, it is nice to just have a beautiful snowy backdrop out of your window when you’re trying to get into the festive spirit. Normandy.
Not much needs to be said about Normandy other than the fact that you must visit it. The beautiful Mont St-Michel is a French landmark rivaled only by the Eiffel Tower, but it’s almost more glorious than the Eiffel Tower in many ways. There’s more to this landmark; it has more depth and detail. There’s far more to see. It sits in a beautiful setting too; lapping tides and endless sand surround this masterpiece. It’s a glorious place to see in winter or summer, so it’d be the perfect Christmas setting.
