Staycation 2019 - Somerset

So this has been a well overdue post, along with the others because I have had to split it up a bit otherwise you would be here all day, and because you know things happen and the first thing I can easily drop with no real problems is unfortunately this blog... but with that I am going to say I have missed it but you can always catch up with me on Instagram.

So anyway back to the post in question...earlier this year I treated one of my dearest friends to a weekend getaway, normally we go to our beloved Port Lympne but this time I decided as it was her birthday to take her somewhere we have always discussed. Now I would have loved to find a little countryside cottage and have the perfect insta-worth break, but actually we went to Haven and had a bloody good laugh.

The drive down to Somerset was fairly straight forward and we got there late evening after leaving Friday after work which meant yes we hit home time traffic but it wasn't horrendous, we checked in and found our little home, before checking out the site and unpacking for the night. Sadly it was a bit wet on the first night, but it soon passed and the rest of the weekend was pretty joyful. The staff on site were lovely and the facilities were good, can't say we tried the site restaurant, by we did try the chippy and that was ok.

Where our little home for the weekend was, was actually right near the 'exit' for the beach - so it would of been wrong to go all that way and not sit down there one evening. Can I just say it was beautiful, I wish I had more time to spend there.

Due to the location it was the perfect place to get to our two planned excursions - Longleat and Cheddar Gorge. Would I go back? Yes definitely.
