A perfect stocking filler!
Hey Doodle Mini Mats may have just wow'd me.
This cute little tube contains a A4 sized silicone mat and 3 bright pens. Mini Mats are based on the 5 most popular designs of Hey Doodles larger original mats. However these bring all the fun of those but in a convenient travel size. A perfect alternative for party favours and stocking fillers, one that is reusable over and over again.
Knowing it is made of silicone I was a little worried that there maybe a slight smell, however opening up the tube I can safely say the silicone has no unpleasant smell. It unrolls perfectly flat and love that it is simply ready to go. Perfect to entertain little ones out and about.
The sugar and spice mat looks at number formation 1-5 as well as finding the correct number of items corresponding - my busy educational mind is rather happy! Always love an opportunity to promote learning skills. The only downfall I found is the formation of the number 4 as this is not what we would typically teach children in education settings.
The pens work perfectly and smoothly adding colour to all the magical characters. I was concerned that the pens may have led to staining as the mat is beautifully white, but as you can see below after using a simple wet wipe after 10 minutes of the pen sitting there. There are no staining marks.
